Golden Händel
27–29 September 2018

Singing the Best of Handel.
You always wanted to sing "Zadok the Priest" or other passages for Handel's great music? We are offering you the opportunity to join in this selection of great Handel music for choir, orchestra and solo aria. Conductor Proinnsías O'Duinn.

Welcome to Halle, Händel's home town

Halle is at the heart of the "Middle German Baroque Music". This describes the region between Berlin, Dresden and Eisenach where composers of the Baroque Music emerged and worked. Besides Händel, Bach and Telemann there is a multitude of predecessors such as Schütz or followers like Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Wagner.

Händel's Halle looks back over more than 1200 years of history and offers many points of interest to participants of Happy Birthday Händel. First of all there are the "Händel-Sites", Händel's house of birth, now a museum or the Marktkirche where Händel learned to play the organ.
